Algeria prepare for Central African Republic confidence booster

Algeria will host the Central African Republic on Tuesday 14th November in an international friendly at the Stade du 5 Juillet, with Rabah Madjer looking for his first win during his third tenure in charge. The match kicks off at 7.30pm UK time and 8.30pm Algeria time.

The Desert Foxes come into this game after drawing 1-1 with Nigeria in Constantine, thanks to a late equaliser from Porto forward Yacine Brahimi.

Algeria have played against them twice in their history, winning one game and losing the other one. The two teams last met in October 2011, in the same stadium, with goals from Hassan Yebda and Foued Kadir sealing a 2-0 win.

Chamseddine Nessakh is suffering with a tailbone injury after hurting himself during an attempted bicycle kick against Nigeria. Photos in training suggest that Baghdad Bounedjah and Abdelmoumene Djabou will both start the game, meaning Islam Slimani and Riyad Mahrez could be left out.

Some big names are absent for the North Africans, with the likes of Ramy Bensebaini, Faouzi Ghoulam and Youcef Attal all missing out through injury, meaning we will see some fresh faces in defence once again.

Canal Algerie will broadcast the match, with live updates on the DZ Football Twitter feed.
