Algerians in action across Europe (20th December)
There are plenty of Algerian footballers in action today across Europe. Here is a list of the Desert Foxes playing on Wednesday 20th December 2017:
Germany
At 5.30pm, Ishak Belfodil‘s Werder Bremen host Freiburg in the last 16 of the German Cup. The striker scored in the last round, knocking out Hoffenheim. Will he score again today?
Spain
Mehdi Lacen will be hoping to start for Getafe in La Liga as they take on Las Palmas at 6.30pm. In the Spanish second division, Rachid Ait-Atmane‘s Gijon travel to Granada.
France
There are a full set of Ligue 1 fixtures tonight, with some matches having Algerians play each other. Angers (Youcef Belaili and Mehdi Tahrat) are up against Dijon (Mehdi Abeid).
Lille (Yassine Benzia and Fares Bahlouli) are looking to escape their relegation battle, and three points against Nice tonight could be a huge boost to their survival hopes.

Bottom of the table Metz host an in-form Strasbourg side, where Alexandre Oukidja and Idriss Saadi will be looking to start the encounter.
Last year’s winners Monaco have Rachid Ghezzal in their ranks, who will come up against Rennes’ Algerian pair of Ramy Bensebaini and Mehdi Zeffane.
Finally, Marseille welcome Troyes with Karim Azamoum very likely to be playing for the visitors, and Houssem Aouar‘s Lyon travel to Toulouse. All matches kick-off at 7.50pm.
