Algerian side MC Alger won 9-0 tonight in the CAF Champions League and advanced to the next round of the best club competition in Africa with an emphatic victory.
Mouloudia went into the game 2-0 down from the first leg, after losing in Congo two weeks ago. But the hosts put the tie right in the second leg.
The Stade du 5 Juillet was rather empty, after heavy rain had been pouring all day and there is no shelter for supporters inside the stadium.
MC Alger took the lead after just five minutes, with an early penalty by Walid Derrardja. Hichem Nekkache then doubled the lead in the 23rd minute to level the tie on aggregate.
Mohamed Souibaa got the 3rd to give his team the lead in the tie for the first time, and Ibrahim Amada got the 4th just after half-time.
Nekkache then scored two goals in quick succession just after the hour mark, and Abderrahmane Hachoud got the 7th goal of the evening in the rainy conditions.
Sofiane Balegh made it 8-0 in the 76th minute, before Nekkache got his fourth and MC Alger’s ninth. The game was then ended in the 89th minute as the AS Otoho players had run out of steam.
Mouloudia now return to this pitch very soon for their league game against USM Alger.
