Sofiane Feghouli created three goals in one half and got a hat-trick of assists for Turkish giants Galatasaray, as they defeated bottom of the table Karabukspor 7-0 to rise to the top of the Turkish league table.
The Algerian international assisted forward Bafetimbi Gomis after just five minutes to give the league leaders the lead in the rain, with a headed knock down into the path of the Frenchman.
Feghouli got his second assist for Gomis from the right-hand side, in the 26th minute as he side footed the ball across and gave Gomis a tap-in.
Gomis was then assisted by the Algerian winger for a third time with a through ball from the centre of the pitch in the 33rd minute to complete a hat-trick of assists on the night.
Since making the move from West Ham in the summer, the 28-year-old has scored six goals and made eight assists in 23 games in all competitions, and has helped the Turkish team fight for the title.
Feghouli will be hoping to have done enough to convince national team manager Rabah Madjer to select him for Algeria’s upcoming games against Tanzania and Iran. However, he has to compete with the likes of Riyad Mahrez for the right wing position.
