Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam has been linked with a £26m move to Manchester United in the summer, according to RMC Sport.
The Algerian international, who was linked with Arsenal earlier in the year, is now being touted for a transfer to Old Trafford.
Ghoulam started the season in fine form before suffering a disastrous ACL injury against Manchester City, that has kept him on the sidelines since last autumn.
The Red Devils are reportedly lining up a £26million bid for the left-back, although this is only half of the £52million that is set in his contract.
With two goals and three assists prior to his injury, Ghoulam is a threat both going forward as well as a quality defender when on the back foot.
Manchester United will have to let one of their current left-backs leave, potentially Luke Shaw, for this deal to materialise. Ashley Young has been the most regular starting LB for the club, but that is not his natural position.
Ghoulam helped Algeria to the last 16 of the World Cup four years ago, and has shown his star quality on the world stage.
Man City and Liverpool have been linked with the 27-year-old over the past 12 months, so there could be a big queue for Ghoulam in the next transfer window.
