Manchester City are getting ready to make a move for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, according to the Daily Mirror.
Pep Guardiola tried to sign the Algerian international in January, but the Foxes rejected several bids for the 27-year-old.
Mahrez has 11 goals and 11 assists this season in all competitions for Leicester, reaching the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and a top half finish in the Premier League.
However, Man City are reportedly interested in signing a winger in the summer transfer window and Mahrez is said to be their number one target for this role.
Leicester should be more willing to let Mahrez leave this time, but his behaviour in the previous window that saw him miss training for two weeks could be a factor they will bear in mind.
He would not be the first Algerian to be signed by the Citizens, with the likes of Ali Benarbia and Djamel Abdoun being at the Etihad in years gone by.
Mahrez was named the Player of the Year for the 2015/16 season, where he helped the Foxes win the Premier League title for the first time in their history.
Man City were recently crowned champions of this season’s Premier League title, with some tough competition in the winger positions for Mahrez to consider.
