Algeria announce 24-man squad for Cape Verde and Portugal

Algeria manager Rabah Madjer has announced a 24 man squad for the two upcoming friendly matches against Cape Verde and Portugal.

The squad features 16 players who were born in Algeria, and 8 who were born in Europe. There are returns for Rais M’Bolhi, Rafik Halliche and Sofiane Feghouli. Mokhtar Belkhiter is called up for the first time since January 2017.

However, there is no place for Adam Ounas, Sofiane Hanni or Saphir Taider in the selection. Strasbourg goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja has also been left out along with Ryad Boudebouz.

Islam Slimani is included despite not scoring a goal for his club since January 1st. USM Alger and CR Belouizdad have the most players included. Below is the squad in full:
