Ligue 1 club OGC Nice have made a £2.6m offer for Algerian international Youcef Attal, according to L’Equipe.
Attal, who made just 14 appearances in total last season for Belgian side Kortrijk, is being linked with a move to Patrick Vieira’s team in the French league.
He came through the Paradou system in Algeria, and helped them achieve promotion to the top flight of Algerian football. He then moved to Kortrijk on loan, and they made the deal permanent just a few weeks ago.
And although he is contracted until the summer of 2022, Nice could make a shock swoop for the 22-year-old from Boghni. He made his debut for the national team last year in an international friendly against Guinea under Lucas Alcaraz.
His injury problems however have left his playing time very limited at club level in the past six months, leading to him being left out of national team squads.
The right-back possesses good attacking abilities, as shown by his darting run against Guinea last year. He would be a great addition to the Nice squad, which finished 8th last campaign.
OGC Nice recently sold an Algerian international, with Said Benrahma joining Brentford in the Championship on a four year deal.
