Algerian international Ahmed Kashi is close to signing for French side Troyes in Ligue 2, according to Goal.
Kashi, who has spent three years with Charlton, has come to the end of his contract and will be seeking a move away from the League One club.
The 29-year-old scored two goals in 34 league appearances for the Addicks last season, but the club failed to achieve promotion to the Championship.
He made his debut for the Desert Foxes at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, coming on as a substitute against Senegal in a 2-0 victory in the group stage of the tournament.
Kashi has previous experiences in French football, having had spells at Metz and Chateauroux prior to South London. Troyes spent last season in Ligue 1 but were relegated after finishing in 19th position.
The defensive midfielder scored one of the goals of the season last campaign, with a 35 yard effort in the third tier of English football. Lee Bowyer has decided that his contract at the club will not be renewed, allowing him to move on for free.
