Leicester City are interested in Monaco winger and Algerian international Rachid Ghezzal, according to Le 10 Sport.
The 26-year-old spent three years with Claude Puel at Lyon, who is now in charge at the King Power Stadium. Ghezzal is known for his good shooting ability and quick feet.
After selling one Algerian right winger, it seems that the Foxes are reportedly interested with replacing him with another one. Riyad Mahrez left to sign for Manchester City last week.
Ghezzal joined French side Monaco on a free transfer last summer but has failed to live up to the standards left by the outgoing Bernardo Silva.
His brother, Abdelkader Ghezzal, played for Algeria at the 2010 World Cup. Rachid has one goal for the Desert Foxes, which came in 2016 against Ethiopia, whereas his older sibling has three.
Last season, he scored 2 goals in 26 league games for Leonardo Jardim’s side. Both Everton and Watford tried to sign him last year, so there has been Premier League interest before, but Ghezzal is nowhere near the level of Mahrez.
Puel already signed one former player of his this window in the form of Ricardo Pereira. Follow all of the transfer stories surrounding Algerian footballers this summer on DZ Football.
