Premier League side Leicester City are in advanced negotiations to sign Algerian international Rachid Ghezzal, according to French media outlet L’Equipe.
The Foxes have opened formal talks about how much the fee will be for the Monaco winger, and a deal could even be finalised as soon as this weekend.
DZ Football reported earlier this month that the 26-year-old would be departing Monaco after an unsuccessful year at the club.
He would be the third Algerian to sign at the King Power Stadium since 2014, following the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani. Here is an insight into Ghezzal to get a better understanding of his strengths and weaknesses.
Claude Puel is said to be very keen on the player that he shared time with at Lyon, and he could join Leicester for the bargain price of just £4million.
Leicester City are yet to replace fellow Algerian Riyad Mahrez since he left for Manchester City earlier in the transfer window, however Ghezzal could be that man as they both play in the same right midfield position.
