Turkish giants Fenerbahce have made an enquiry about Algerian forward Baghdad Bounedjah, who currently plays for Al Sadd.
The striker, who currently plays alongside the likes of Gabi and Xavi, has a very impressive goal record in the Middle East. He has also been linked this summer with moves to Leeds Utd in England and LOSC Lille in France.
Bounedjah has four goals in 14 appearances for the Algerian national team, but this season he has been extremely prolific in the Asian Champions League with nine goals in eight games in that continental competition.
In total, he scored 28 goals in all tournaments during the 2017/18 campaign and so a move to Fenerbahce would certainly increase their chances of winning the Turkish title. He scored a hat-trick last week in Al Sadd’s first game of the league season.
Fener have also been linked with fellow Algerian international Islam Slimani, showing that they are indeed in the market for a centre forward.
Bounedjah has no experience of European football, having played in Algeria, Tunisia and Qatar. Perhaps this is the time for his big step up under an intelligent manager. He has been at Al Sadd since the year 2015, and scored goals for fun.
