Turkish giants Besiktas are keen on agreeing a deal to sign Algerian winger Yacine Brahimi, according to reports in Turkey.
Brahimi is out of contract in the summer and has yet to put pen to paper for a new deal with Porto. He has been with the Portuguese club since 2014, and helped them lift the Liga NOS title last campaign.
Besiktas are confident that they can offer a lucrative salary in their contract offer in order to convince the 28-year-old to swap Portugal for Turkey.
In the Turkish Super Lig, the big Istanbul clubs have Algerian internationals in their ranks. Sofiane Feghouli plays for Galatasaray, whilst Fenerbahce currently have both Islam Slimani and Yassine Benzia.
Several clubs are also interested in signing Brahimi, such as Lazio and West Ham who have been linked this year with the left winger. He is well known for his dribbling ability and brilliant passing range. He could even decide to remain with his current club FC Porto.
Brahimi however is also renowned for his lack of willingness to pass the ball and often tries to dribble past too many players on his own. Follow all the Algerian football transfers in English with DZ Football.
