Premier League side Everton sent scouts to the Dragao on Monday night to watch Algerian winger Yacine Brahimi and are considering making an offer for him, according to the Daily Mirror.
Brahimi scored twice for FC Porto in their 3-1 Liga NOS victory over Nacional to extend their lead at the top of the Portuguese league table.
And the Everton scouts were impressed with what they saw, as the 28-year-old bagged a brace on the night to make it seven goals for the season.
In addition to this, Brahimi helped Porto reach the last 16 of the Champions League. He is out of contract in the summer, so the Algerian international is available for a relatively cheap price. Lazio from Serie A and Al Sadd from Qatar have also been linked recently.
The Toffees, currently managed by Marco Silva who brought Islam Slimani to Europe, almost signed Brahimi on deadline day in the 2016 summer transfer window, but the deal never went through. He would be an excellent addition to Everton, however he has a tendency to hold onto the ball for too long.
Brahimi helped Algeria to the last 16 of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Follow all the Algerian football transfers in English this January transfer window with DZ Football.
