Leeds United have made an approach for Algerian international midfielder Mehdi Abeid, according to France Football.
Abeid, who has experience in English football before with Newcastle United in the Premier League, once won Man of the Match in a game against Liverpool.
The 26-year-old is out of contract in the summer from his current club Dijon, so the Ligue 1 side may well look to cash in this January.
With the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations coming up in the summer, Abeid will be looking to have regular playing time in order to make it in the 23 man squad for the tournament.
Leeds had also been linked with another Algerian player earlier in the window, Baghdad Bounedjah, but he has since signed a new deal at Al Sadd. Bielsa is fighting for automatic promotion back to the top tier of English football.
Abeid has three goals this season for Dijon, who have been flirting with relegation in the French league. He can play anywhere across the central midfield and is good at breaking up play.
