Bordeaux are set to complete the signing of midfielder Yacine Adli, according to French media outlet RMC Sport.
The 18-year-old, who is eligible to play for both France and Algeria, was close to signing for Premier League side Arsenal but a late u-turn saw the Gunners opt for Matteo Guendouzi instead.
Adli has struggled for game time in Paris this season and found his opportunities under Thomas Tuchel very limited. He is set to join fellow Ligue 1 side Bordeaux for around £4.8million on a permanent deal.
He was close to reuniting with Unai Emery in North London, but the transfer fell through as Adli decided to stay in Paris. However, he has not featured in the French top tier all season.
Arsenal may opt for fellow PSG midfielder Christopher Nkunku, who is just 21 years of age. Adli has played for France up to U20 level and is still eligible to play for the Algerian national team.
Adli will be looking for regular playing time with the Girondins, who currently sit 12th in the league standings. They were knocked out in the group stage of this season’s UEFA Europa League. Follow all the Algerian football transfers in English with DZ Football.
