Premier League side Huddersfield Town have approached Real Betis with regards to signing Ryad Boudebouz, according to Foot 365.
Boudebouz was close to joining Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice, but a loan move fell through earlier on in the window. Huddersfield, who recently appointed a new manager, are looking to stay up in the top tier of English football and have a relegation battle on their hands.
Bursaspor also made an approach, but the 28-year-old did not want to move to Turkey. Boudebouz played against England for Algeria back in the 2010 World Cup. He also once had a trial at Manchester United. but has never played for an English side.
Boudebouz has struggled for game time in La Liga this season, and is looking to move on to try and secure a place in the Algeria squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Time is running out in the transfer window, so the Terriers will need to act fast. They already have one North African in their squad in the form of Abdelhamid Sabiri.
Boudebouz would add creativity and quality delivery from set pieces if he was to make the move. Follow all the Algerian football transfers in English with DZ Football.
