Boudebouz was close to joining fellow Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice, but a loan move fell through earlier on in the window. Huddersfield were also linked whilst Bursaspor also made an approach, but the 28-year-old did not want to move to Turkey. Boudebouz played against England for Algeria back in the 2010 World Cup. He also once had a trial at Manchester United. but has never played outside of France or Spain.

Boudebouz has struggled for game time in La Liga this season, and is looking to move on to try and secure a place in the Algeria squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations under manager Djamel Belmadi.
