Major League soccer side Toronto FC are keen on signing Algerian midfielder Sofiane Hanni, according to Ives Galarcep.
Hanni currently plays for Spartak Moscow, and featured for them in this season’s UEFA Europa League where he scored against Rangers.
Fellow Algerian international Saphir Taider currently also plays in Canada with Montreal Impact, so this would not be an unusual move.
Hanni was the top scorer for the Algerian national team in the year 2017 with four goals, and is renowned for his goals and assists from central attacking midfield.
Toronto have just sold star man Sebastian Giovinco to the Middle East for mega money, and are looking to replace the Italian.
He previously captained Belgian side Anderlecht where he scored at Old Trafford against Manchester United. Hanni has failed to hit the ground running in Russia, but has scored a few goals in recent weeks.
Hanni will be looking to secure a place in the Algeria squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations this summer. Rais M’Bolhi has also played in the MLS, with Philadelphia.
