Algeria manager Djamel Belmadi is set to call-up three new faces to the Algeria squad for the matches against Gambia and Tunisia next month.
Said Benrahma, Hichem Boudaoui and Victor Lekhal are all in line to make the squad in March. 23-year-old Benrahma plays in the Championship with Brentford and has been featuring as a left winger recently. He has five goals and ten assists this season in English football. He was born in Algeria and now plays in the Championship.
19-year-old Hichem Boudaoui played for Algeria against Qatar back in December in a 1-0 victory. The defensive midfielder born in Bechar, known as the ‘Algerian Kante’, plays for Paradou AC in the Algerian League.
Victor Lekhal was born in France but has made his intentions clear to want to play for Algeria. The 24-year-old central midfield player is currently at Le Havre in French Ligue 2. He has never played for the Desert Foxes before.
There are just a few months to go until the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, so all of these players will be wanting to prove themselves and keep their places in the squad. You can follow all of Algeria’s matches in English with DZ Football.
