Riyad Mahrez and Said Benrahma start for Algeria tonight against Tunisia

England-based duo Riyad Mahrez (Man City) and Said Benrahma (Brentford) both start for the Algerian national team this evening in an international friendly against Tunisia at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida. Kick-off is at 7.45pm on Tuesday 26th March 2019.

The Desert Foxes are 34 games unbeaten in Blida and have never lost at the ground. Tunisia faced England at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Mahrez scored a brace in his last game for Algeria. Benrahma will make his first ever start for Algeria and his first appearance since 2015, when he came on as a sub vs Senegal.

Algeria XI in full: Alexandre Oukidja, Youcef Attal, Aissa Mandi, Djamel Benlamri, Ramy Bensebaini, Victor Lekhal, Saphir Taider, Sofiane Feghouli, Riyad Mahrez, Baghdad Bounedjah. Said Benrahma

Metz goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja and Le Havre midfielder Victor Lekhal are both making their international debuts. Both Mahrez and Benrahma were rested for last week’s AFCON qualifier against Gambia.

Algeria last defeated Tunisia back in 2011 with a 1-0 victory, thanks to a goal from Ryad Boudebouz in the same ground. The two teams have met 52 times previously, with Algeria winning on 20 occasions and drawing 16 of the encounters. You can follow the game live and in English with DZ Football.
