English side Norwich City are eyeing up a move for Rennes and Algeria international defender Mehdi Zeffane, according to French media outlet Le 10 Sport.
The Canaries, who have just been promoted to the Premier League. will be looking to strengthen their squad in the summer for next season as they return to the top flight.
Zeffane, who is mainly a right-back, has also featured at left-back this season in Ligue 1 and also featured in the UEFA Europa League, where he scored against Arsenal. Rennes also went on to win the French Cup against PSG.
Norwich are said to be keen and have offered to even open up contract negotiations with the player. Zeffane has been at Rennes since making the move from Lyon in 2015.
Current full-back Max Aarons has been impressive at RB for Norwich in their Championship campaign, but Norwich could lose him with the likes of Tottenham showing an interest in the EFL Young Player of the Year.
