FC Porto and Algeria winger Yacine Brahimi is a priority this summer for Turkish side Fenerbahce, DZ Football understands.
However, they face competition from Wolves and Marseille to land his services. Brahimi is available on a free transfer this summer with his contract at the Portuguese side coming to an end.
The 29-year-old left winger is known for his top class dribbling ability, and he won the Liga NOS league title last season with the club. This campaign, he reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League where Porto were knocked out by Liverpool.
Brahimi is the number one priority for Fenerbahce in the summer transfer window and can pay more wages than Marseille and Wolves, however Brahimi may have a personal preference to return to France where he enjoyed club football with Rennes and speaks the language.
Wolves have links through Portuguese agents, as well as Nuno Espirito Santo being Brahimi’s former club manager when he was in the dugout at Porto. The Premier League side can also offer European football next season with the UEFA Europa League.
Fenerbahce currently have two Algerian internationals in their ranks in the form of Islam Slimani and Yassine Benzia. Follow all the Algerian football transfers in English this summer with DZ Football.
