The Algerian national team will take on Tanzania in their final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations game, with kick-off at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo commencing at 8pm on Monday night.
Algeria are already through to the last 16 as group winners, having beaten Kenya and beaten Senegal in their opening two games. As a result, manager Djamel Belmadi is expected to ring in the changes, rotate the squad and rest some key players.
In the last two meetings between the two sides, Algeria have scored a total of 11 goals in 7-0 and 4-1 victories back in 2015 and 2018. Algeria are yet to concede a goal at the tournament.
The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Andy Delort and Adam Ounas are expected to be involved whereas captain Riyad Mahrez could be rested from the bench. The Desert Foxes have won their group for the first time since 1990, when they were crowned champions.
It will be Algeria’s first game at the Al Salam Stadium after playing their first two matches at the 30th June Stadium but will remain in the city of Cairo nonetheless.
Senegal will take on Kenya at the same time in the other Group C game. You can follow the game live in English with DZ Football, where you can follow the Algerian national team in English all summer.
