Algeria have made it four wins out of four and have made it to the quarter-finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with a 3-0 victory against Guinea, thanks to goals from Youcef Belaili, Riyad Mahrez and Adam Ounas.
There were concerns at the start when Adlene Guedioura picked up an early yellow card. Djamel Belmadi had reverted back to the side that beat Senegal 1-0 in the group phase.
Baghdad Bounedjah missed a glorious opportunity from close range early on when he blazed over from a great Guedioura pass. But the Desert Foxes soon broke the deadlock.
Youcef Belaili opened the scoring in the 24th minute after a nice give and go with Baghdad Bounedjah to side foot the ball into the back of the net.
And from then on, Algeria looked in control. Riyad Mahrez the captain doubled the lead in the second half with a world class two touch goal after a great pass by Ismael Bennacer. Adam Ounas came on late in the game to secure the victory with an assist by Youcef Atal.
